Characteristics and application range of four UV resins

1、 Epoxy acrylic resin is the most widely used and most used UV resin among all our customers. Epoxy acrylic resin is widely used as the main resin of light curing paper, wood, plastic and metal coatings, light curing ink and light curing adhesive because of its simple synthesis process, convenient source of raw materials, low price, fast light curing speed, high hardness, high gloss, excellent chemical resistance, good heat resistance and electrical properties. The epoxy acrylic resin produced by lankelu mainly includes various modified epoxy acrylic resins, which have different characteristics for different substrates.

2、 Polyurethane acrylic resin, which is also a widely used and large amount of UV resin. Polyurethane acrylic resin is widely used in light curing paper, wood, plastic and metal coatings, light curing ink and light curing adhesive because of its better comprehensive properties, such as excellent wear resistance and flexibility of cured film, good chemical resistance, impact resistance and electrical properties, and good adhesion to plastic and other substrates. The main varieties of polyurethane acrylic resin produced by lankelu include aromatic and aliphatic polyurethane acrylic resin.

3、 Polyester acrylic resin is also a commonly used UV resin. Because the resin has low odor, low irritation, good flexibility and pigment wettability, it is often used in light curing color paint and light curing ink together with epoxy acrylic resin and polyurethane acrylic resin.

4、 Amino acrylic resin is often used in UV coatings and UV inks with epoxy acrylic resin and polyurethane acrylic resin because of its good heat resistance and weather resistance, good chemical resistance and high hardness.

UV resin, also known as photosensitive resin, is an oligomer that can undergo rapid physical and chemical changes in a short time after being irradiated by light, and then crosslink and cure. UV resin is a photosensitive resin with low relative molecular weight. It has reactive groups that can carry out UV, such as unsaturated double bond or epoxy group.

UV resin is the matrix resin of UV coating. It is compounded with photoinitiator, active diluent and various additives to form UV coating.

Advantages of UV resin:

(1) Fast curing speed and high production efficiency;

(2) High energy utilization rate and energy saving;

(3) Less organic volatile matter (VOC) and environment-friendly;

(4) It can be coated with various substrates, such as paper, plastic, leather, metal, glass, ceramics, etc;

The analysis of UV coating formula shows that UV resin is the largest component in UV coating, and it is the matrix resin in UV coating. Generally, it has groups that further react or polymerize under light conditions, such as carbon carbon double bond, epoxy group, etc. According to different solvent types, UV resins can be divided into solvent based UV resins and Waterborne UV resins. Solvent based resins do not contain hydrophilic groups and can only be dissolved in organic solvents, while waterborne resins contain more hydrophilic groups or hydrophilic chain segments, which can be emulsified, dispersed or dissolved in water.

Solvent based UV resin:

Commonly used solvent based UV resins mainly include: UV unsaturated polyester, UV epoxy acrylate, UV polyurethane acrylate, UV polyester acrylate, UV polyether acrylate, UV pure acrylic resin, UV epoxy resin, UV silicone oligomer.

The composition analysis of UV resin shows that the main application fields are: UV coating, UV ink, UV glue, etc. among them, UV coating is the most widely used, including the following types: UV water-based coating, UV powder coating, UV leather coating, UV optical fiber coating, UV metal coating, UV paper polishing coating, UV plastic coating and UV wood coating.
