What is UV curable resin?

The light curing resin is composed of monomer and oligomer, which contain active functional groups and can be polymerized by light initiator under ultraviolet light to generate insoluble film. Photocurable resin, also known as photosensitive resin, is an oligomer that can undergo physical and chemical changes in a short time after being exposed to light, and then crosslink and cure. UV curable resin is a kind of photosensitive resin with low relative molecular weight, which has reactive groups that can be UV curable, such as unsaturated double bonds or epoxy groups. UV curable resin is the matrix resin of UV curable coatings. It is compounded with photoinitiators, active diluents and various additives to form UV curable coatings.

In recent years, with the enhancement of people's awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection, the variety performance of UV curable coatings has been continuously enhanced, the application field has been expanded, and the output has increased rapidly, showing a rapid development momentum. Especially after the coatings are included in the scope of consumption tax collection, the development of UV resin [1] is expected to further accelerate. UV curable coatings are not only widely used in paper, plastic, leather, metal, glass, ceramics and other substrates, but also successfully used in optical fiber, printed circuit board, electronic component packaging and other materials.
